INVITATION

 

45TH BSA INTERNATIONAL RALLY. AUGUST 16 - 23 - 2008

 

The B.S.A. Owners’ Club of Great Britain have the pleasure of inviting all the B.S.A. club members and their B.S.A. bikes, from all around the world to the 45th International Rally on the Isle of Man.

 

There are NO caravan or chalet parks on the Island, there are Hotels, B&B’s and camp sites only.

 

The Rally will be held at the Glenlough Campsite, Union Mills, Isle of Man. IM4 4AT. Just 3 miles from Douglas on the A1, Peel Road.

 

We have negotiated a discounted camping fee per person per night

Rent a tent options are available, these are fully equipped self contained tents, visit WWW.IOMTENTS.COM all that you will require is a sleeping bag, these can be obtained new at the cost of around £9 each, please indicate when booking if you will be requiring one of these.

We also have a discounted price for each tent at £9 per person per night, this is subject to minimum occupancy.

You will not be charged the £100 refundable deposit for each tent, the BSA Club will be paying this on your behalf, providing your hire tent and equipment is not damaged in any way, if this happens you will be liable.

I can guarantee that there will be no shortage of these tents to rent, there were row upon row of these at the 2007 TT fortnight, more than we could possibly ever need.

 

Only members booking through the BSA Club will be eligible for the above discounts and be allowed camping space in the designated BSA International Rally area, if renting a tent direct you will be charged a £100 refundable deposit for each tent and also not allowed in the designated BSA area.

 

There will be a large marquee erected on site to act as a meeting place, this will include a bar and will be the venue for the Thursday buffet dinner dance.

During the week there will be a food van on site for you to purchase take away meals.

 

The proposed events for the Rally are as follows:-

 

Saturday 16th August >  Arrivals and booking in. Evening bar and music.

 

Sunday 17th              >  Official opening ceremony and afternoon Ride-out. Evening Bar and music.

 

Monday 18th              > Official Line Up at Laxey, followed by Ride-out. Evening bar and music.

            

Tuesday 19th              > Ride-out to Lap of the TT Course. Evening BBQ and music.

 

Wednesday 20th        > Ride-out to Peel. Evening Sunset Line Up at Peel Castle. Evening Bar.

 

Thursday 21st            > Ride-out to A.R.E. Museum. Evening Buffet/Dinner Dance with awards.

 

Friday 22nd                 > Ride-out to Jurby Junk, on to Ramsey for Lunch. Evening Bar and music.

 

Saturday 23rd                         > Departure. See you in Holland 2009.

 

Confirmation of booking will be sent out some time after the close of booking date, due to postage costs this will not include the Rally Plaque, a version of the plaque that you will be receiving can be sent out by e-mail attachment, this will be in landscape and portrait for you to print off and laminate for attaching to your B.S.A.

If you do not have e-mail, ask a friend to print a copy for you.

 

The Rules of the 2008 B.S.A. Rally will be published in the Rally Programme that you will receive on site when booking in, you are expected to attend with a B.S.A. Motorcycle.

 

Adherence to the Rules is a condition of participation.
